Joel, how did you know she was the one?
I knew I was head over heals for her pretty early, but one of the times that is most clearly ingrained in my head is when I took her to Texas to spend a week with my family for Christmas. Never has someone felt so apart of my family so quickly. It felt natural for Christy to be there and now I can’t imagine her not being a part of my family. I feel blessed everyday to have her as part of my family. My family may like her more than they like me. . . and I was the favorite in my family before she came along.
Top 5 things Christy loves about Joel?
– Joel makes me laugh, hard! He is so funny.
– Joel always looks for the good, in people, in situations, in everything. He is very positive and always optimistic. He makes me have a better attitude.
– Joel is super generous. He would do anything he could to help anyone he could. He is kind and giving. He’s the first to jump up and help.
– Joel ambitious and motivated. He’s always trying to learn, improve and grow.
– Joel is super friendly, he talks to everyone and makes everyone feel important and included. I love that about him.

Christy, how did you know he was the one?
Good question. . . It took me a long time. I was pretty hesitant to get into something too serious, because I’m old and had a few serious relationships not work out. Joel would always say to me while we were dating, “Don’t worry about things just say yes to the next date if you had fun on this one.” Eventually I’d said yes to 6 months of dates and couldn’t imagine life without going on dates with Joel, then I knew I’d been slyly hooked 🙂
