Tell us a little about your business.
Bizee B Events, came about because I was the go-to girl for my friends when they were getting married. Instead of the serial bridesmaid I was the serial Wedding Coordinator. I helped plan, organize, negotiate and execute their perfect day. And I have loved every minute of it. After some encouragement from my husband I decided to try and make it my full time job.
How far in advance should a bride start looking for a Wedding Coordinator and when should she hire them by?
Once she has had a chance to breathe and enjoy being engaged for a little bit I think Brides should start looking and selecting a wedding planner. There are lots of details and items to cover when planning a wedding and depending on the length of the engagement and season when you want to get married the sooner you start, the better vendors, venues and less stress you will have.
What is the starting price of your services?
Our starting price is $250 for day of coordinating and help, this includes two meetings prior to the big day to make sure everything is covered. For more involved services beyond that our cost ranges from $500-$1500.
What’s the most important thing to remember when selecting an event planner?
Picking someone that is organized and that understands you enough so that they will be able to bring your vision to life.
What are the latest trends you’ve seen for weddings?
Rustic weddings have really been on the rise, brides are choosing vintage inspired dresses, and using rustic elements like burlap, lace and naked cakes.
What are the benefits of hiring someone to help plan?
I think the biggest benefit is less stress! Weddings can be a very stressful event, when families, friends and money are involved it can make wedding planning not as much fun as it should be. That’s where we come in, we can do as much or a little planning that you need, to make sure that when you look back on your wedding day you won’t think about the stress and headaches that it caused but rather the remember the beauty of the day and how much you and your spouse love each other.
What’s the biggest thing brides usually forget for the wedding?
There are a couple things that are fairly common for Brides to forget. The main focus is usually the big day so things like having someone handle the gifts afterwards and make sure they get where they need to go is one. Forgetting the legal side of the event, whether it’s remembering to get the marriage license in the first place or just forgetting it at home also happens. Probably one of the most important is the wedding day itinerary. One thing a bride should not have to stress about is a late or missing member of the bridal party and important family members. In my opinion an itinerary is an absolute necessity.
What’s your favorite part of planning a wedding lately and why?
My favorite part is seeing it all come together, I am loving the rustic weddings Brides have been having lately and I think they add a certain romantic vibe that is just wonderful.
Any other tips you’d like to share with our brides?
Remember at the end of the day the thing that only truly matters is that you are marrying the love of your life.
