Susan & Bill: Married
[intro]Susan and Bill’s wedding was one of our favorites from 2014. We traveled out to Elko Nevada to photograph it, and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. They’ve known each other since they were kids and finally ended up together 45 years later. Some things really are worth waiting for. Check out some of their wedding details:[/intro]
How did you guys meet?
Bill and I have known each other for 45 years! We grew up in Las Vegas Nevada. Our dads were business partners and best friends. Our moms were best friends. His sister and my sister and I were all best friends. We re-united via Facebook last year on Bill’s birthday. I sent a message saying “happy birthday” and we started texting, and talking. He drove to Denver from Nevada a month later to see me (thru a blizzard) and we have been together ever since!
First thoughts about one another after you met?
He was always very mature when we were kids. And I was very intimidated by him.
Who said “I love you” first?
Bill
Tell us about your first date:
Bill Drove to Denver 1 month after we started talking. It was not a traditional date per say.

Tell us about your first kiss:
Hyatt Denver. Kinda strange at first since we were family friends.
How did you know he was the one?
I don’t know, I just knew
How did he propose?
January 2014. It was a surprise. He fixed me a bubble bath with candles and champagne and asked me then.
What are the top 5 things you love about each other?
I love his sense of humor, his sex appeal, he is a great father, he is strong, hard working and he has the biggest most beautiful heart of anyone I have ever met! (Another side note: Can I just say that Susan and Bill had the most touching vows during their ceremony that I’ve ever heard. These two know a thing or two about real love, relationships and commitment. I totally teared up.)
