Called To Serve: Colton
[intro]We are so excited for Colton and his decision to serve a mission! We asked his mom to tell us a little about him:[/intro]Name: Colton Kimball
Serving Where: Quito Ecuador North mission
Language: Spanish
Thoughts about his mission:We always suspected Colton would go Spanish speaking but where he would go was anyones guess. Colton’s dad, grandpa, grandma, and uncles all speak Spanish and after three years of high school Spanish we hoped he’d go Spanish speaking. Its is also a very useful language down here in Texas.

What are the top 5 things you love him? Colton is a leader but better yet he’s an excellent cheerleader. Not in the traditional sense, he has always been happy in others achievements and cheers for everyone along the way. During his Senior year of high school he had a good friend that was recruited to BYU for diving and on the day of his signing with BYU, Colton was there dressed head to toe in BYU attire and waving a BYU flag routing for his friend. In Texas not too many are used to BYU being such a coveted school but that day all the athletes signing with schools wished they had such a fan routing them on. Colton is also very funny and compassionate. He loves to make others laugh but shows compassion with a soft heart.

Colton is really excited to serve. At first he was a little nervous and scared as most 18 year olds would be but when he began to pray more about his decision to serve he realized he had nothing to fear and though he would be without his family he would not be alone. From that realization he was ready to go and hasn’t looked back.
