Julia & Joseph: Bridals

[intro]Julia and James are the perfect couple! We loved their first look at their bridal session and wanted to share their love story with you![/intro]

How did you guys meet?

We actually met for the first time at Institute – we were both the first people in the classroom and just started talking. It wasn’t until a month later that we saw each other again and realized that one of his roommates and one of my roommates were siblings.

First thoughts about one another after you met?

(Julia) I thought he was interesting and handsome and wanted to get to know him better. But when he left right after Institute was over I remember thinking “I guess I’ll never see him again” I was delighted when it worked out otherwise.

(Joseph) I thought she was pretty, that’s why i started talking to her.

Who said “I love you” first?

(Julia) Joseph said I love you first

Tell us about your first date:

Our first official date – Joseph took me to the gun range and I taught him how to shoot a hand gun – he had never shot one before

Tell us about your first kiss:

first kiss…..we had spent a good portion of the day together just doing things with friends and family and dinner and after we went and watched a movie at the dollar theatre we sat up talking, neither of us wanting to go to bed, and at one point he just leaned in and kissed me

How did you know he/she was the one?

(Julia) I’ve always just felt comfortable and safe with Joseph – never like I had to be something I wasn’t around him, I could always just be my goofy self and he’s ok with that, and I’ve never met anyone else I felt that way with.

(Joseph) She was fun to be around all the time, it never got boring or monotonous.

How did he propose?

the proposal…. He picked me up after work on a Friday and took me to dinner at Gloria’s down on center street in Provo. After we ate dinner he suggested we go for a walk since it was so nice outside that evening. I was fine with that so we walked all the way down to veterans park and wandered around a bit there, just talking. Then we found a bench and sat down and just talked. After a couple of minutes he started talking about all of the different dates we have been on then he reached into his pocket pulled out a ring and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. And I said yes.
