Kayla & Israel: Married!
[intro]Kayla and Israel are such a happy couple! We got to spend the day being apart of their sweet little world today. Here are some moments from their special day. It was so fun and we are excited for this new chapter in their lives. They told us their beautiful love story and now we are telling you![/intro]

How did you guys meet?
Israel was friends with one of my sisters boyfriend.
First thoughts about one another after you met?
I was 14 when I first laid on eyes on the man of my dreams and it was love at first sight! I always hoped that I’d end up with him, but never in my wildest dreams believed it would happen. We didn’t have our first date until about a decade later! Haha Timing was so key from our first meeting to our first date. We talk about it all the time that the Lord prepared us according to His plan for us.
Who said “I love you” first?
Israel! About 3 weeks after our first date J It really surprised me, but it felt right and somehow seemed to be perfect in its timing.
Tell us about your first date:
Our first ‘date’ was me cooking dinner for Israel at his house. He suggested we go out and instead I pushed for a home-cooked meal and some good ole’ quality ‘getting-to-know each other’ time. I think that’s what really sealed our fate, as we could both appreciate the simple things in life. Our first date going out was also pretty simple with a stroll around Temple Square to see the lights.
Tell us about your first kiss:
We were just hanging out and suddenly Israel leaned over and kissed me. It threw me off completely because I really didn’t put any expectations of what I wanted to happen. We were just having fun spending time together. I suppose that’s the magic of finding your special someone. Needless to say, our first kiss took my breath away.
How did you know he/she was the one?
On our second ‘date’, we went downtown and walked around. Randomly, some man stopped us and asked if we were married, which is still weird to me, because who does that? But without missing a beat, Israel responded, “Not yet.” I guess you could say we both always just knew that was our destiny.
How did he propose?
We were in Moab for his birthday. (We had gone the year before also which was our first trip together so it was kind of a sentimental place for us.) The day before his big day, he took me up to a beautiful hillside overlooking the valley, complete with a lake view and a waterfall! He suddenly pulled out the ring that we had previously designed together in the months prior. He opened it up and it was so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and since I didn’t expect him to propose during his birthday celebration, I was completely surprised and speechless. In fact, I was kind of shocked that I couldn’t even speak in that moment. I can hardly even remember what he said. I just recall throwing my arms around him and kissing him and being happy.
What are the top 5 things you love about each other?
1. Israel is HILARIOUS! He is the funniest person I know and is constantly making me laugh.
2. He is incredibly thoughtful. Not just in kind acts but in his thinking overall. He’s meticulous and very analytical. He accounts for the things that most people overlook which truly enriches our lives.
3. He’s absolutely the most attractive man I’ve ever seen. I love everything about the way he looks.
4. He’s super sweet and genuinely cares about making people happy. He’ll go out of his way to help people or to make someone feel special.
5. He’s a man of God. This was at the top of my list for my soul mate and it means everything to me to share my faith with him.

Its going to sound cliche but “You just know when it is right!”

In Moab, went for a short hike and found a perfect spot overlooking the valley.

1. Her amazingly giving and thoughtful heart.

3. Her goofy funny humor that sometimes only she gets! 😉
4. Her compassion for anyone and everyone.
