Vesna & Keerti: Married!

[intro]Congrats to Vesna and Keerti! We love this couple so much! They were kind enough to share with us all about how they met and fell in love. I’m sure you’ll love how he proposed too:[/intro]How did you guys meet?
KK: We met at an internship.
VK: We met at work.

First thoughts about one another after you met?
KK: Serious (what’s her deal anyway ? haha…)
VK: He looks interesting!!… Who is he?? 🙂

Who said “I love you” first?
KK:We must have realized it, when I visited her to celebrate her B’day together, 2 months after we first started dating. I think she said it first though. ( I win! What ? Isn’t that how that works ? ha ha..)
VK: I did!!.. (I am more of a chatty one.. haha)

Tell us about your first date:
KK: I asked her to give me a tour of our work place after work at the internship. There was a strong connection and I managed to sneak in a kiss on her cheek after work (heck yeah, that’s how I roll!). That was a unique but kind of our first date.
VK: Well, since we both worked at the same place, and Keerti was new – he asked me to give him a tour of the place after we were done with work. I volunteered even though I thought that he didn’t need one.. LOL. We continued our “tour” after work , and we have been together ever since. That is what a good tour guide does!!! 🙂

Tell us about your first kiss:

KK:I think, I went for it after a party at my place, that she was also invitied to, during the internship.
VK: The first kiss was at his place. He invited me for a party, and it was just the right moment!!!

How did you know he/she was the one?
KK:I realized that when she moved across the country to move in with me during college. Although, I wanted to propose to her then, I had to wait for just the right moment that arrived 3 years later.
VK: I knew from the very begining that Keerti was the one. He was different- he was very independent, smart, polite.. I felt a strong connection when I was around him. He was giving me a sense of peace and love.

How did he propose?

KK:I happen to think that we fell for each other at her B’day that we first celebrated together, so I planned a trip together to Ocean City (took 6 years for stars to align since we had fallen in love..haha). We celebrated her B’day there and the next day before leaving, I took her to the beach for a walk. It was a bit cold and apparently full of people. While pretending to dig the sand, I called her to come and check out what I had found that was brought by the waves. She quickly came over, completely oblivious and thinking, that I must be referring to a sea shell. The moment she saw the ring, she smiled. I got down on my knee in front of everyone and proposed to her. She said yes!
VK: I did not know that it was coming!! It was a total suprise! We went for a trip to Ocean City to celebrate my Birthday. The day after my B’Day he wanted to take me to the beach one more time before we left. We went there, and it was beautiful- just perfect! I was walking around just looking for some seashells when Keerti called me to come very quickly. I came and his back was turned towards me. He sounded as if he found something really important 🙂 When he turned, I saw the ring in the sand. I was so excited that I could not believe it!! He said- look what the ocean brought. I smiled, and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said- YES!!! It was such an amazing and beautiful moment. I loved absolutely everything about it.

What are the top 5 things you love about each other?
KK:Not in any particular order but some of many things that I like about her are:
Refreshing and a beautiful smile
Caring yet energetic nature
Raw humor
Presence of mind (Holy Moly that untapped talent! haha..)
Organisation skills (talk about being a control freak..but she’s not over the edge yet…haha)
