Wedding Style Guide: Timeless & Classic

[intro]Get inspired by this fun wedding reception! For the bride who loves bold colors, creamy cupcakes, and an intimate dinner party reception. . . this post is for you.[/intro]

Amy and Matthew had a delightful wedding dinner at their favorite restaurant to celebrate their marriage. Instead of standing in a line greeting hundreds of people you may or may not know, they hosted an intimate dinner with their friends and family. I loved the closeness and constant laughter. There was no awkwardness, or uneasy downtime. Dinner was delicious, there was a live band playing, and at the end of the night, their loved ones sent them off surrounded by bubbles floating into the sky. Perfect evening full of wonderful wedding memories.

We asked Amy to share her best tips and here’s what she had to say about her vendors:
“I loved working with our florist because I had a very specific idea of what I wanted, and she totally captured it. She also had the best price. I had just taken a floral design class, so I was worried i might hate my flowers, so I was so excited when I not only liked them but ADORED them.
My gown came from Sweetheart Bridal. I loved their unique styles and selection. the tuxes came from Men’s Wearhouse, which we also really enjoyed working with.
I really wanted a classy, timeless sort of look that was also soft and feminine (except the men’s tuxes!). And Magleby’s was really wonderful. Not having to clean up or leave family to do so was great! Plus they give you the venue free if you spend enough on food. You can rent out just the downstairs for free even if you don’t spend enough, which is what we did.
Seriously, the cupcakes were the I have ever eaten. One of Matthew’s friends was reminiscing about them just the other day. We had key lime cupcakes and cinnamon strudel (I think), and he said, “I hate key lime, but those key lime cupcakes at your wedding were AMAZING!”
